Healthcare data security is a critical concern due to the sensitive nature of medical information, which encompasses personal identity, treatment histories, and financial details. Unauthorized access to this data can lead to severe consequences including identity theft, insurance fraud, and compromised patient care. Blockchain technology offers a promising solution for enhancing the privacy, integrity, and traceability of healthcare data through its decentralized and tamper-resistant structure. This chapter explores a blockchain-based framework designed to secure healthcare data by leveraging blockchain’s decentralized, immutable, and traceable architecture. The proposed framework helps healthcare providers manage safe, tamper-resistant data and share it transparently with stakeholders while protecting patient privacy.
