E-REDES is the Distribution System Operator (DSO) in mainland Portugal that manages assets from HV to LV, representing many assets with different attributes. It's a big challenge to ensure data quality and integrating data from multiple sources (e.g., suppliers) while maintaining data accuracy and standardization (sometimes, the same equipment is characterized with slightly different characteristics), due mainly to the diversity of sources. The effectiveness of asset management highly depends on good data quality. Incomplete or incorrect information can lead to suboptimal operational efficiency or mistakes directly related to the cost and maintenance processes. This paper describes the methods/processes being used and under development to ensure technical data accuracy for technical assets. The process needs to consider that each asset's type has a unique characterization, which means that the challenges will be distinct for each equipment. These aspects, in coordination with the large scope of interconnected grid support software, represents the needs and challenges concerning data quality that the company faces and that the process under development intends to answer. Additionally, it intends to simplify the data fill process to the asset providers.
