Biometric authentication has become a cornerstone of mobile device security, with iris recognition gaining prominence due to its uniqueness and robustness. However, distinguishing between genetically identical twins presents a significant challenge for biometric systems, as their iris patterns exhibit high visual similarity. This study explores the feasibility of deep learning models for iris recognition in twins, specifically tailored for mobile devices.By employing convolutional neural networks (CNNs) optimized for lightweight deployment, we demonstrate that even subtle textural differences in iris patterns can be captured for reliable recognition.Experimental evaluations show promising accuracy, highlighting deep learning as a potential solution for overcoming the twin dilemma in mobile biometrics.
