CREATION OF A COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR MODELLING GENETIC PROCESSES ACCORDING TO MENDEL›S LAWS

The article presents a simulation of genetic inheritance of traits using the «NumPy» and «Tkinter» libraries for Python. Mendel›s laws, which underlie classical genetics, are considered. A flow chart of the algorithm has been developed and a corresponding program has been written to clearly demonstrate the principles of transmission of hereditary traits from parents to offspring. The relevance of this work is due to the need for visual and accessible tools for researching genetics and population genetics. The simulation can be used in training to better understand the principles of inheritance, as well as for research purposes to model evolutionary processes and assess the influence of various factors on the genetic structure of populations.
