Bilirubin is a crystalline pigment, the final form of the breakdown product of catabolism through an oxidation-reduction reaction. The stability of total bilirubin examination is influenced by external factors such as time, temperature, and light. This study aims to determine whether there is a difference in the delay in reading total bilirubin which is delayed by 30 minutes and 1 hour with the winsten-cehelik method at room temperature and to determine the bilirubin levels whose readings are delayed by 30 minutes and 1 hour. The type of research used is an analytical study with a population of students in semester II and VI of AAK Pekalongan by examining total bilirubin which the reading is delayed by 30 minutes and 1 hour using the winsten-cehelik method with 31 samples used. Data analysis using SPSS17.0 test Wilcoxon test. The results of the study of 31 samples examined using the winsten-cehelik method at the time of reading that were delayed by 30 minutes, the average value was 0.732 mg/dl, while at the time of reading that was delayed for 1 hour, the average value was 0.719 mg/dl. Based on statistical tests there is no difference the delay in reading the total bilirubin was delayed by 30 minutes and 1 hour by the winsten-cehelik method at room temperature.
