In this paper, a simple discrete 3-dimensional memristive sinusoidal hyperchaotic mapping (3DMSHM) is proposed. The initial-offset-coexistence switching mechanism was derived from a theoretical analysis. Numerical simulations revealed centrosymmetric, lattice-like chi-square bifurcation behaviour, as well as the coexistence of hyperchaotic attractors that are controlled by the initial value. The method not only generates chaotic sequences of high complexity, but also enhances the oscillation amplitude of chaotic sequences by switching their initial state. For the drawbacks of current image schemes, in this paper, we use different encapsulation functions to design parametric generator (PG), sequence generator (SG) based on the proposed new 3DMSHM mapping. Combining Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) algorithm paired with sequence generator to achieve efficient image encryption algorithm with high stochastic dynamic diffusion (DPSG-IE). The reliability of the DPSG-IE method and the dynamic performance of the 3DMSHM system are demonstrated by comparison with existing methods.
