Let's Play! Introducing Neural Networks with Unplugged Resources

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has recently been added to the school curriculum in Ghana, requiring students to have a foundational understanding of AI and its underlying mechanisms. This poster describes work-in-progress to develop and evaluate unplugged activities that Ghanaian teachers can use to introduce core AI concepts. Activities developed include a board game and role-play activity to introduce concepts involved in training an artificial neural network. The activities have been introduced to Ghanaian teachers as part of a professional development session.
