Business management strategy based on AI to build opportunities with the 'kulino' approach in the Indonesian industry

This study explores AI-based business management strategies using the kulino approach within various industrial sectors in Indonesia. Kulino, a Javanese term meaning habit or consistency, serves as a strategic framework for systematically implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in business operations. The research aims to analyze how AI-driven business strategies incorporating the kulino approach can enhance operational efficiency, customer engagement, and decision-making while identifying the key challenges businesses face in AI adoption. Employing an empirical approach, this study examines companies that have integrated AI into their operations. The findings indicate that a structured and consistent AI implementation based on the kulino approach enables businesses to automate various tasks, including data analysis, decision-making, and customer service interactions via chatbots. The continuous and repetitive application of AI fosters organizational habits that contribute to increased efficiency, productivity, and overall business performance. By integrating AI systematically, companies can reduce operational costs, improve customer experience, and gain a competitive advantage in the digital economy. Despite these benefits, several challenges hinder AI adoption in Indonesian industries. These include infrastructure limitations, high investment costs, a shortage of skilled human resources, and regulatory concerns regarding data security and privacy. Many companies struggle with the initial implementation due to a lack of expertise and financial constraints. To overcome these barriers, businesses are encouraged to gradually develop AI infrastructure, provide employee training programs, and implement robust data protection policies. Additionally, fostering a kulino mindset in AI usage can help organizations sustain long-term technological adaptation, ensuring a smoother transition and effective utilization of AI tools. This research contributes to the theoretical and practical understanding of AI-based business management in Indonesia. It highlights the significance of kulino as a strategic approach for fostering habitual AI integration, leading to enhanced business sustainability and innovation. By adopting this approach, companies can maximize the potential of AI, create new business opportunities, and strengthen their competitive position in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
