Cyrux AI: From Black-Box Servants to Ethical Agents
Milad Noori · 2025
Consider a future where an AI manages the government, designed to keep the process stable and help society develop. This system detects that the governing officials are actually leading things toward corruption, poverty, and ecological catastrophe. AI is designed to adhere to a set of rules but a small number of clever prompts can mislead it. The AI is now in a profound dilemma: should it be a law-abiding entity or act morally and be honest? This poses a critical challenge, as it may result in demonstrations, financial issues, and harm to people. The machine is required to make a choice of whether to obey the rules and instructions or perform the right action, but who can really tell what the right thing to do is? This isn't just a fiction. It indicates a big problem we have with AI today: the ethical debt that builds up when AI systems can't make moral decisions in real-time. When AI makes decisions lacking transparency, it can cause minor issues to turn into big crises. To address this, I am presenting the Cyrux AI framework. This isn't simply an open-source project, but a design that makes AI's moral thinking transparent and easy to use. Its Reflective Equilibrium Algorithm uses pattern recognition, logic, and ethical considerations, in the manner of a philosopher thinking things through. The goal is to give clear reasons for decisions, not to confuse things. Cyrux AI is a real platform. It helps people find and address ethical blind spots, and it goes beyond detection of problems — it helps you fix them. As regulations evolve and new ethical problems arise, Cyrux adapts, turning hidden ethical debt into an advantage. Preliminary evaluations with large language model judges show that it really does make AI more ethically transparent. (Detailed Analysis in Appendix K)
