Virtual Reality (VR) is changing how we experience games, offering a truly immersive experience. This work details the creation of a VR zombie shooting game built using Unity 3D and C#. The game puts players in a post-apocalyptic setting where they fight off waves of AI-controlled zombies using VR headsets and motion-tracked controllers. The game features realistic 3D models, spatial audio, user interaction systems, and progressively harder challenges. Key tools used in the game's creation include the Unity XR Toolkit, OpenXR, and specific physics simulations. This project displays the creative abilities of VR for making captivating, high-intensity survival gameplay. The overall workflow of the framework is illustrated in the Graphical Abstract (see Fig. GA). This research helps the gaming world and shows that VR setups can be used in training, rehab, and teaching. The project proves that VR systems can keep a steady performance above 72 FPS and keep users engaged. This shows that regular VR tech could be used for other real-time things.
