Wenxia Xi, Wei Guo, Ruiya Shi · 2025
To enhance the reliability and safety assurance of automotive software architectures, this study introduces a functional safety-oriented architecture monitoring system. Adhering to the functional safety development mandates of ISO 26262, the approach augments conventional software architecture with dedicated functional safety monitoring modules. Each software component incorporates specific mechanisms for functional safety monitoring and failure management, which can comprehensively identify the failure of software components and alert the driver to take over the vehicle and pull over to the side of the road. Taking CAN data transmission as the research object, the working principle and failure processing implementation method of the software architecture monitoring system are explained, indicating that the functional safety monitoring module can effectively reduce the failure impact of software components and enable the software architecture to achieve high reliability.
