The utilization of 3GPP sensing enables comprehensive situational awareness through the sharing of communication and sensing data across the wireless radio spectrum, thereby improving spectrum utilization. Nonetheless, the lack of sensing authorization schemes leads to security vulnerabilities, allowing unauthorized entities to access sensing data and results, potentially exploiting the sensing service. This paper addresses sensing authorization by introducing a data classification framework for organizing sensing data, which lays the foundation for authorizing sensing services. Subsequently, we introduce a sensing authorization scheme, which, to our knowledge, is the first of its kind compatible with current 5G systems. Our scheme associates each sensing task with its executing entities, ensuring traceability. Furthermore, it establishes a connection between sensing requests, data, and results, optimizing time and sensing resources. Security analysis demonstrates that our scheme can achieve mutual authentication, message confidentiality and integrity, and traceability. Performance analysis shows that our scheme surpasses other related schemes.
