Hybrid blockchain-based identity authentication scheme for IoT-WSN combines public and private blockchains to enhance security and efficiency. One of the main technical issues is that IoT-WSN devices have limited processing and energy capabilities, which makes it challenging to use typical blockchain activities. Due to its decentralized structure, it isn't easy to ensure low-latency authentication while maintaining high security. Furthermore, synchronization and data consistency become more complicated when hybrid blockchain layers are included. The proposed method, Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC), supports low computational cost and energy cost, lightweight key generation, digital signature, and secure key agreement, which is important for resource-limited IoT-WSN nodes. SHA-256 is used as a collision-resistant oneway algorithm to generate secure transactions and IDs on blockchains. By combining, the system can build a decentralized ID management that is characterized by low latency and scalability. Simulation results and performance analysis demonstrate the effectiveness of the scheme in ensuring secure identity management in heterogeneous IoT-WSN environments.
