Prison security is a very important aspect, especially during the thwarting of illegal in-and-out movement and in ensuring quick detection of immediate threats. This paper outlines the concept of intelligent prison security system based on an Internet of Things (IoT) which allows a real-time monitoring system with alert backup mechanism. The suggested Multi-Sensor Precise Intrusion Detection System (MS-PIDS) incorporates the idea of using Passive Infrared (PIR) motion detectors, vibration detection devices, ultrasonic distance sensors, and magnetic door sensors to guard restricted areas. A Microcontroller Unit (MCU) centrally controls sensor data using a Time-Based Reduced False Alarm (TB-RFA) Logic Algorithm to Reduced false positives - especially during restricted hour conditions. When a possible intrusion is sensed, GSM-Based Priority Notification Timely Response (NTR) module pops up which subsequently sets off a buzzer alongside sending of SMS messages to the authorised officials. Performance of the system is measured based on mathematical modeling of the crucial parameters of the system (time of response, rate of the log, memory occupied). Realization and simulation outcomes reveal that the system will be able to issue quick and consistent warnings, even during a power failure scenario, thus increasing the security of the prisons and the consistency of the operations.
