The increasing adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) devices raises significant challenges in terms of security and identity management. Traditional centralized methods often fall short in ensuring the privacy and safety of these devices. This research proposes a blockchain-based identity management system leveraging Hyperledger Fabric to enhance the security and scalability of IoT networks. By integrating Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and smart contracts, the system ensures secure identity verification and efficient device access control. Key features include Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) for devices, local authentication clusters, and real-time device tracking. The system demonstrated strong performance in scalability, handling over 1,000 devices with low latency and high security. The blockchain infrastructure ensures tamper-proof access control and automated revocation of compromised devices. This approach provides a promising solution to address the growing security concerns in large-scale IoT deployments, offering both flexibility and robustness for future IoT systems.
