Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers a great opportunity to transform the cybersecurity industry. The techniques and sophistication of cyberattacks also keep up with the ongoing evolution of the digital realm. The use of AI in cybersecurity tactics is essential since traditional cybersecurity techniques are no longer adequate to counter these dynamic threats. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, comprising natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning, provides novel approaches to identifying, stopping, and handling cyberattacks. Through real-time anomaly detection, trend analysis, and massive data analysis, these technologies permit organizations to preemptively resist cyberattacks. This chapter explores the applications of AI in cybersecurity and examines its potential to improve security posture across various domains. Drawing on a literature review, the chapter identifies and analyzes key use cases for AI in cybersecurity, categorized using the NIST cybersecurity framework. This analysis provides valuable insights into how AI can be leveraged to enhance security, clearing the path for more study and advancement in this rapidly developing sector.
