Cryptographic techniques are essential for protecting sensitive data in today’s digital environment. Conventional methods often face challenges related to processing efficiency, data integrity, and resistance to attacks. This study presents the Fernet Base64 symmetric encryption–decryption strategy as a secure and computationally efficient approach for textual data protection. The main objective is to evaluate its effectiveness and reliability in preserving content integrity and fidelity. Specific goals include implementing the Fernet Base64–based technique, analyzing consistency between original and decrypted documents, and assessing the impact on data size and structure. Experimental evaluation on a representative dataset shows that an encrypted document containing 2,720 words and 531 unique words is decrypted into a document with 2,666 words and 528 unique words, maintaining comparable content in a sorted format. The proposed method minimizes data distortion during encryption and decryption, enhancing secure file transmission while addressing limitations of existing cryptographic approaches.
