A global public health emergency called COVID-19 is currently developing due to the 2019 coronavirus. It is brought on by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and quickly spreads to become a pandemic. It is crucial to continue conducting fresh research and developing new medications to combat the disease. Bioinformatics has developed into a modern discipline with a number of benefits in the present. Since a few years ago, a number of new “omics” sciences have been developed, and these disciplines can be used in biomedical research. Here, the author will provide a summary and discussion of significant omics research applications for the development of novel COVID-19 medicines. Omics techniques are suitable for use in this field of biomedical research.
