Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and reliable communication. However, MANETs are highly vulnerable to various security threats, including Rushing Attacks and Wormhole Attacks. This study use Bonnmotion to generate movement patterns for five different mobility models and simulate them using NS2, then assess routing protocol performance. Simulation results show TCP has a higher PDR than UDP across all models. The GM model is most resilient, with MG being the most vulnerable. Rushing attacks cause TCP throughput to initially drop but recover, while UDP throughput steadily declines. Wormhole attacks lead to a throughput spike for UDP in the GM model. TCP’s end - to - end delay increases with attacks, while UDP’s remains stable. These insights help design more secure MANET routing protocols.
