Research on Data Security for Digital Mental Health Records Based on Blockchain

Xinyu Ai, Taohong Yang, Wei He, Tianqing Yang · 2025

Digital mental health records play a vital role in data collection and sharing, yet their highly sensitive nature poses significant risks of leakage and tampering. Drawing inspiration from a trusted traceability framework used in agricultural science data [1], this paper proposes a blockchain-based security framework for mental health records, named D-MHASF. The framework adopts a four-layer architecture and leverages smart contracts to manage data authorization and ensure integrity verification. Experimental results demonstrate that D-MHASF offers clear advantages in terms of data security, traceability, and privacy protection, significantly enhancing the credibility and regulatory compliance of mental health record systems.
