The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Java-based software development has gained more popularity with rising demands of intelligent, efficient, and scalable software. Java is an efficient platform thanks to its independence and rich library and object-oriented properties, making it a good base to implement AI functions in multiple areas. This article summarizes the impact of AI in altering the software lifecycle development in Java context and how AI applications can be used in requirement analysis, generation of code, testing, deploying and monitoring. It covers important Java-based AI libraries like Deeplearning4j, Weka, and TensorFlow Java API, and additionally, covers paradigms of development, IDEs, and Java-specific challenges. The paper further identifies practical applications of AI in Java applications and discusses performance issues that must be taken into consideration during successful implementation. The synthesis of the existing practices and the emerging trends provided in this review allows introducing the insights into the ways of AI-driven automation perfection regarding Java development, and precondition the future evolution within the sphere. In the study, it is also highlighted that the choice of tools and architectures should be made to achieve an effective model deployment. It seeks to instruct the researchers and developers on how they can use AI to make Java applications more adaptable and smarter.
