Iris Template Protection Using Double Bloom Filter-Based Feature Transformation
S. Ajish, K. S. Anil Kumar · 2025
The bloom filter-based iris feature transformations&s; primary focus is template protection, data compression, the response time of matching, and matching accuracy. The increase in the size of the code word of the bloom filter-based feature transformation results in exponential growth in the transformed iris template size. It degrades the data compression ratio, response time of matching, and the accuracy of matching. This chapter presents a double bloom filter-based iris feature transformation to reduce the exponential increase in the transformed iris template size and increase matching accuracy. The number of bits set to one in the bloom filter-based feature transformation is significantly less, increasing the false acceptance rate. The total bits set to one in the double bloom filter-based feature transformation is double that of the bloom filter-based transformation. It enhances the accuracy of matching of double bloom-filter-based transformed iris templates. Experimental analysis exhibits that the double bloom filter-based feature transformation enhances the data compression ratio, template protection, response time of matching, and matching accuracy.
