A Quantum Virtual Machine for Execution of Oracles
Ulrik de Muelenaere · 2025
Various promising quantum algorithms, such as Shor's and Grover's algorithms, rely on a quantum oracle implementing a function, which is usually classical. Ideally, a complex oracle would be implemented in a high-level language with familiar control flow constructs. Since the oracle must be unitary and operates on inputs in superposition, the control flow must be reversible and must not measure the data it is conditioned on.
