Multi-User Image Encryption Scheme Based on Logistic Chaotic Maps and Sector Sharing

Quanren Lin · 2025

With the increasing demand for secure image sharing in multi-user environments, many industries and organizations have found that traditional single-user encryption methods are inadequate for supporting collaborative settings. In response, this paper proposes a novel image encryption algorithm based on chaotic systems and multi-user sharing. The framework consists of three modules: an encryption module utilizing logistic chaotic mapping and S-box substitution, a sharing module that performs sector-based image segmentation and composite generation, and a decryption module that enables recovery using any two composite images. Unlike conventional image encryption schemes, the key innovation lies in the sharing module, which allows multiple users to jointly manage confidential data. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm offers strong encryption performance, high key sensitivity, and effective resistance to statistical and differential attacks. The findings confirm the feasibility of enhancing data security through multi-user encryption.
