Ensuring pharmaceutical supply chains are transparent and secure is important to avoid the risks associated with counterfeit medicines and illicit distribution. Centralized databases subject to data forgery and manipulation are common in traditional systems, and as a result, drug authenticity and patient safety are compromised. To overcome such issues, this research presents a new AI-blockchain framework for trustworthy pharmaceutical traceability. Building on the Ethereum blockchain, the system presented has drug transaction records tamper-proofed and applies smart contracts to automate functions in the supply chains. An AI-based chatbot with natural language processing (NLP) improves user interface through real-time drug verification services, prescription recommendations, and preventive healthcare tips. The addition of AI increases accessibility and usability as stakeholders such as manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and customers are all able to check drug authenticity with ease. Experimental testing proves to show considerable data security, transactional transparency, and user engagement improvements. The findings confirm that the integration of blockchain and AI improves pharmaceutical traceability to produce a healthier and trusted healthcare ecosystem.
