IoMT consists of many smart devices, and each device produces a huge amount of data every minute. Patients and doctors are connected through the internet and communicate through medical applications. When IoMT applications are increased, the data generated by the IoMT network also increases. Managing this data efficiently and increasing the network performance becomes a major challenge. Concerning this issue, this paper proposed a hybrid caching strategy for IoMT using ICN in-network caching. Edge devices are considered as cache nodes, and the nearest edge device is selected as a cache node. A novel cache replacement policy is proposed to evict unwanted data from the cache using data recency and frequency scores. The data with the lowest score is replaced with the new data in the cache. The proposed work is evaluated through simulation, and the results are compared with the random and prob-cache. The evaluation results show a 13% efficiency in terms of hit ratio, an 11% decrease in content retrieval delay. Proposed hybrid caching increases the data availability in the network and enables access to data from the nearest edge devices.
