Addressing the technical bottleneck of insufficient positioning accuracy in complex environments of extra-long highway tunnels, this paper proposes a collaborative positioning method based on the fusion of millimeter-wave radar and WiFi heterogeneous data. By constructing a multi-physics field coupling model of the tunnel space, an innovative spatiotemporal registration mechanism for dual-mode sensors is designed, and an improved support vector machine (SVM) fusion algorithm is adopted to achieve feature-level fusion of multi-source heterogeneous data. A semi-physical simulation system incorporating typical tunnel interference factors such as multipath effects and Doppler frequency shift is constructed based on the MATLAB/Simulink platform. Experimental results show that the SVM fusion positioning method significantly outperforms traditional methods. The spatiotemporal collaborative positioning framework proposed in this study provides a new theoretical paradigm and technical path for breaking through the bottleneck of positioning technology in enclosed tunnel spaces.
