The study of image encryption has grown in popularity and interest in the era of modern technology. They desire to increase the security of image data coming from unreliable mediums. This chapter suggests a confusion-based image encryption technique with the help of chaotic maps. Chaos theory and chaotic maps are regarded as a preference for image encryption because of their randomness and unpredictable behaviors. The proposed method suggests an image encryption scheme that uses two main components, a Substitution box and a Tent Logistic System. Both of these two-components give a layer of encryption to an image. The proposed method uses piece-wise linear chaotic map that generates an S-box and which is utilized to substitute individual pixel values in the image to create confusion. Modified image is further diffused by using random sequences generated by Tent Logistic System. Finally, various forms of analysis are conducted on the ciphered image to assess the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
