Ramiz Salama, Fadi Al‐Turjman · Auerbach Publications eBooks · 2025
With the help of cutting-edge technology like artificial intelligence (AI), the transition to 6G wireless networks offers previously unheard-of improvements in speed, connectivity, and intelligent automation. But these developments also provide fresh cybersecurity problems that can jeopardize network services’ availability, confidentiality, and integrity. In the context of 6G networks, this chapter examines the relationship between cybersecurity and AI, offering a thorough analysis of the ways in which AI can both strengthen and weaken security measures. By facilitating real-time threat identification, adaptive response, and predictive analytics, AI-driven solutions have the potential to improve network security and are essential for handling the intricate and ever-changing nature of 6G settings. Adversarial attacks, data privacy issues, and the abuse of AI algorithms are some of the new hazards that come with integrating AI. In addition to discussing these two functions of AI in 6G cybersecurity, this chapter looks at current frameworks and highlights important research topics for further study. By tackling these issues, this research hopes to aid in the creation of reliable and secure 6G networks that harness AI’s potential while reducing related dangers.
