An AIoT-based Real-time Remote Health Monitoring device
Aishik Pal · 2025
Global healthcare systems are struggling with rising populations and increasing chronic diseases, resulting in delayed diagnoses, imprecise treatments, and higher fatality rates. This paper presents an innovative AIoT-based health monitoring device by continuously tracking real-time vital parameters and predicting health conditions remotely using Machine Learning algorithms. The proposed device encompasses with an edge device ESP32 and sensors such as MAX30100 pulse oximeter, MPU6050 accelerometer, KY-38 cough detector, Neo 6M GPS for location tracking and SIM900A GSM module for emergency alerts messaging. The developed ML model is trained on a published dataset, achieving an accuracy of around 90%, demonstrating its efficacy in real-world scenarios. A user-friendly Mobile App designed using block-based MIT App Inventor visual programming environment for efficient real-time user interactions.
