Smart Surgical Tool Detection Verification System to Prevent Operating Room Medical Errors using ML& 5G Technology

Modern technology is changing the way healthcare works. Errors during surgery, such as missing tools or delayed response to a patient’s condition, can lead to serious medical issues. The proposed work introduces a smart system that helps prevent such mistakes by automatically detecting and verifying surgical instruments before and after surgery. It also monitors the patient’s vital signs during the procedure and alerts the staff in case of any abnormalities. By integrating the machine learning for tool recognition and 5G technologies for fast, real-time communication, the system improves safety, reduces manual effort, and supports better decision-making in the operating room and stores all the records safely in the cloud.
