In the ever-increasing network security environment, New Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks targeted to critical infrastructure.such as industrial control systems, smart cities, and hospitals,etc.Traditional, centralized intrusion detection systems (IDSs) are pressured.to meet high demands on data protection, big traffic, fast response, as needed in the modern DDoS attack scenarios.To handle with these challenges, this study presents the DDoS-Defender framework with a proposed IDS that it uses deep learning models, Genetic Algorithms (GA), and superior feature picking techniques in an edge computing paradigm closer to User.
