In recent years, emerging digital technologies have been widely applied in the field of jade carving design and processing. One such approach involves combining 3D scanning technology, 3D digital design, and CNC machining technology for the design and production of jade plaques. The application of digital technologies enables digital design and innovative processing of jade carving products. Focusing on the Ancient Dian Bronze Memory series of jade plaque designs, this study employs structured light 3D scanners in jade processing practice to capture the morphological characteristics of raw jade materials. Building on this foundation, it integrates 3D digital design tools (Rhino, KeyShot), CNC machining technology (ArtForm), and gold-and-silver inlay craftsmanship to create jade carving artworks. The integration of digital technology into jade plaque design and processing not only efficiently realizes creative concepts and shortens design and production cycles but also enhances the scalability of subsequent applications. It is foreseeable that with the broader adoption of digital technologies and more user-friendly human-computer interactions, digital innovation will provide a viable new direction for the transformative development of traditional jade carving.
