Cybersecurity in Engineering Education
Jaromír Hrad, Tomáš Zeman · 2025
In this paper we review the current drawbacks of traditional curricula in electrical engineering, paying special attention to challenges introduced by cyber space and its daily use by virtually all members of the modern society. As a response to the weak points and actual needs in this area, our ERASMUS+ project "Cybersecurity for the Future" offers a set of thematic online study materials for engineering students, which is brought to a higher level thanks to a set of corresponding online laboratory tasks. This way, the final recipients will benefit not just from theoretical knowledge, but also from hands-on experience, solving typical cyber security problems. We also put the newly developed set of learning materials into context with modern methods for distance education used in other projects.
