Identity authentication and access control are becoming increasingly significant in the digital era. Traditional centralized authentication methods have faced various challenges, such as privacy breaches, fraud, and malicious attacks. Blockchain, a distributed and decentralized technology capable of processing information in a reliable and transparent way, can offer trustworthy solutions for identity authentication and access control. Decentralized identity (DID) based on blockchain is self-controlled, secure, interoperable, and portable. As the key access to Web 3.0, decentralized identity is changing the way people interact in the digital realm. By combining the system logic of the Cyber Trusted Identity (CTID) platform with the distributed infrastructure of Blockchain-based Service Network (BSN), this paper proposes a BSN real-name DID service with the analysis of its technical design, implementation, services, and application scenarios. In addition, we present a case study on the practical application of personal digital image rights. With the continuous deepening of global digitization, the widespread application of decentralized identity worldwide has become an irreversible trend, which plays an important role in promoting the security and efficiency of data circulation and data management, and fully unleashing the value of data assets.
