Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) operate in dynamic, decentralised environments where congestion frequently makes it difficult to maintain dependable data transmission. Elastic TCP has not yet been investigated in MANET networks; It was initially created for wired networks with a high bandwidth delay product (BDP). This study assesses Elastic-TCP’s performance in a WiFi-based MANET environment, with particular attention paid to how it behaves in dynamic network scenarios. We evaluated important performance metrics such as throughput and latency using the ns2 simulator. The results show how well Elastic-TCP adjusts to the features of MANETs and provide insight into how well it can perform in wireless ad hoc configurations. These observations also highlight potential areas for improvement to increase its efficacy in wireless networks.
