Artificial Intelligence for Combating Child Exploitation on Social Media
Joas Antonio dos Santos, Deivison Pinheiro Franco · 2025
The exponential growth of social media platforms has facilitated unprecedented connectivity, but also created opportunities for the spread of child sexual exploitation material (CSEM). This paper presents a framework for the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in detecting, preventing, and mitigating the dissemination of such content. Using advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP), computer vision, and behavioral analysis models, the proposed system aims to automate monitoring, identify suspicious patterns, and alert relevant authorities in real time. A functional prototype was implemented and tested on synthetic datasets, demonstrating promising results in classification accuracy and response time.
