Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC), formerly known as the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS), is an autonomous satellite navigation system developed and maintained by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The system is designed to provide accurate position, navigation, and timing services over India and surrounding regions. NavIC is structured around three key segments: the space segment, the ground segment, and the user segment. The Ground Segment of NavIC is a crucial part of the overall system that manages, controls, and monitors the satellite constellation, ensuring that the navigation signals delivered to users are accurate, reliable, and up-to-date. It interfaces between the control centers on Earth and the space segment (the satellites), handling telecommands, telemetry, navigation data uplink, synchronization, and system integrity monitoring. To ensure that the navigation signals generated and transmitted by the onboard systems meet the mission accuracy and reliability criteria, comprehensive validation and ground testing are required. It necessitates the development of Checkout System which mimcs the Telemetry and Telecommand (TMTC) Interface and validates the NAVIC signals structure as per Space (Interface Control Document)ICD [5] for all the services. This system generates the telecommand for different broadcast parameters and schedules them for uplink as per the NavIC satellite Mission operation along with different contingency mode Telecommand uplinks.
