Panchikattil Susheelkumar Sreedharan, Ashutosh Srivastava · 2025

The potential of spatial correlation-based routing techniques for efficient data routing in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) remains largely untapped. Analysis of Ad-hoc Wireless Network Systems reveals a consistent focus on energy efficiency and prolonged network lifetime. Most existing studies rely on traditional clustering protocols such as LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy), DEEC (Differential Energy Efficient Clustering), and SEP (Stable Election Protocol), often with enhancements to improve routing efficiency. In the proposed approach, we capitalize on spatial proximity among sensing nodes to identify data similarities, enabling optimized routing. Further we are incorporating the usage of multiple sinks which are networked together with required resources Simulation results demonstrate that our algorithm outperforms standard and enhanced algorithms in terms of energy efficiency and network longevity. By reducing data redundancy through spatial correlation and enabling the usage of multiple sinks, this approach is particularly suitable for applications involving non-critical data..
