Ising machines (IMs) based on nonlinear optical oscillators are promising as ultrafast optimization hardware. However, due to amplitude inhomogeneity and trapping in local minima, current coherent IMs suffer from limited ground-state accuracy and poor scaling. Intense research efforts aim at improving their performance by introducing new paradigms such as IMs based on networks of high-dimensional oscillators [1].
