Computational Thinking and Creative Technologies in Early Childhood Education in Puerto Rico

My area of research broadly focuses on the role that computational thinking and creative technologies play in early childhood education. I am specifically interested in the ways that these are used in mixed-ability classrooms in Puerto Rico. My research aims to result in the development of a series of best practices to support computational thinking and creative technologies in early childhood classrooms. These practices will ideally promote unplugged, culturally responsive activities co-designed with early childhood educators, which can be integrated into mixed-ability classrooms. In this paper, I discuss the study that I am currently undertaking, and plans for further studies.
