Scattering Transformation is a Neural Network

In this paper, it will be demonstrated that the classical scattering transformation is in fact a neural network. This insight is helpful in the sense that it connects the classical scattering transformation theory with the neural network field. By using this principle, we can deductively employ the knowledge suggested by the neural network theory to design new scattering transformation-based communication laws that can resolve several technical problems prevailing in the telerobotics field. As an example, the total number of neurons of the classical scattering transformation is increased to enable independent contact force feedback to enhance teleoperation transparency. A simulation result is provided.
