Bhoopendra Singh, Brijesh Kumar · 2025

This Amid Security issues have become a major obstacle to the adoption of cloud computing, despite its growing role in supporting educational processes and business operations in tertiary institutions. This research focuses on the perceptions and challenges of adopting cloud-based cybersecurity solutions in tertiary education, using one of the Institute as a case study. The research follows the “Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT)” framework and developed a conceptual model to explore these challenges. Data collection involved structured questionnaires analyzed using quantitative methods. Findings reveal that although students are largely inclined to adopt cloud-cybersecurity measures, concerns such as data control remain critical. These insights are valuable for understanding cloud security issues in higher education and assessing the feasibility of implementing cybersecurity frameworks in resource-limited to such type of institutions
