Adaptive Filtering Method With Multiport Antennas

This letter presents an approach for synthesizing the power spectrum in multiport antennas through phase profile optimization of ports. The proposed method enables wideband operation while selectively accepting power within desired frequency bands, effectively handling part of the RF filtering on the receiver side. Experimental results on a multiport wire antenna (MPWA) prototype demonstrate the ability to maximize accepted power at target frequencies, reduce the accepted power level at undesirable frequencies, and enable configurable radiation in broadband communication systems using multiport antennas.
