With the number of complex equipment digital models and their correlations increasing, the graph structure constituted by them is getting more and more complicated, and various kinds of design and analysis application for them require more and more complex graph query. Nowadays, the complex equipment industry generally uses relational database-based PDM system to carry out mature management of all kinds of data, but this kind of PDM system in the face of multi-layer complex graph query will produce a great time overhead. Enterprises such as the Internet usually use graph databases for data storage when facing complex graph structure data to accelerate related graph operations. However, it's unacceptable that directly migrating the data from the relational database in PDM system to the graph database entirety, or completely copying the data to the graph database, as it brings migration, refactoring and storage overhead. To attack the problem, we propose a graph structure index based query(GSIBQ) algorithm based on the existing relational database-based PDM system, which accelerates the graph query by constructing a graph structure index, while reducing the extra storage and other overheads.
