Application of Internet of Things technology in long-term health monitoring of tunnels

With the rapid development of infrastructure construction, the number and scale of tunnels have increased, making long-term health monitoring crucial. The integration of multiple technologies in the Internet of Things (IoT) has important application value in the field of tunnel health monitoring. This article elaborates on the functions and technical implementation of the perception layer, network layer, platform layer, and application layer of the IoT technology system in tunnel health monitoring, analyses the key indicators and methods of tunnel health monitoring, and demonstrates the actual application effect of IoT technology with a case study of a cross river pipe gallery project. Research has shown that IoT technology can achieve real-time and accurate monitoring of tunnel status, effectively improving tunnel operation safety and management efficiency, and has broad application prospects.
