This study focuses on the creation and assessment of a teaching tool for simulating and combating distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks on transmission control protocol/internet protocol (TCP/IP) servers. In the modern digital environment, DDoS attacks is a serious concern; thus, it is critical for professionals and students to have access to useful and engaging learning tools to comprehend the nuances of these attacks and learn how to defend against them. The study initially emphasizes the necessity for a teaching tool that can accurately model DDoS attacks on TCP/IP servers. Hands-on experiences and real-time simulations, which are crucial for understanding the intricacies of network security, are sometimes lacking in traditional training approaches. Students and professionals can learn about DDoS attack detection, mitigation, and prevention practically by using an educational application created expressly for this purpose. Overall, this study shows the effectiveness of a training tool for simulating and preventing DDoS attacks on TCP/IP servers. This application serves as a helpful resource for teachers, students, and network security professionals who want to advance their understanding and proficiency in fending off DDoS attacks by offering a practical and interactive learning environment.
