In response to the complex environment and high risks associated with underwater operations in marine engineering, this study has developed an integrated intelligent system for underwater operations based on artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies. The system employs the ROS2, Gazebo, and Unreal Engine 4 frameworks to achieve functions such as remotely operated vehicle (ROV) motion control, manipulator operation, and three-dimensional visual simulation. By establishing accurate dynamics models for the ROV, umbilical dynamics models, and kinematics models for the manipulator, and integrating multi-source information fusion technology and collision detection mechanisms, the system is capable of providing a highly realistic virtual operational environment. Test results indicate that the system can effectively enhance the efficiency and safety of ROV operations, offering reliable technical support for the training of underwater operation personnel and the pre-enactment of operational plans. The research findings hold significant importance for advancing the intelligent development of marine engineering in China.
