Ram Chandra Yadava, Abhay K. Tiwari, Pappu K. Singh · Mathematical Population Studies · 2025
A large number of stochastic models have been developed to describe the variation in the number of births/conceptions to a woman in a specified interval of time 0,T under different sets of assumptions. In this context, ‘A Parity Dependent Model for Number of Births and its Applications’, published by Singh, Bhattacharya, and Yadava in 1974, assuming fertility parameters to be parity dependent. In the same article, they have given certain important results in a very concise form. Due to this reason, many of the researchers face difficulty in understanding the results given in the paper. The primary objective of the present paper is to provide detailed derivations of these results to facilitate a clear and more comprehensive understanding for researcher working in this area.
