The integration of robotics in the healthcare industry is transforming how tasks are performed, enhancing efficiency, safety, and patient care. One critical aspect of robotic systems in healthcare is reliable navigation within complex and dynamic environments. The development of an innovative obstacle detection smart system is essential to ensure seamless and safe robot navigation in healthcare facilities. This chapter introduces a novel technique for Smart Robot Navigation, focusing on Obstacle Avoidance and Detection in Healthcare Industry. The proposed method is based as in reasonable and readily available electronic devices. Our Vision-based low-cost Obstacle Detection Technique for Robot Navigation demonstrates impressive speed and effectiveness, even when using low-resolution images. Extensive testing in both structured and unstructured office environments confirms the reliability of the robot platform's obstacle avoidance behavior.
